Tomorrow I embark on yet another adventure. This time I'll be visiting Scandinavia (specifically, Sweden). During my last trip to Europe, I didn't visit any location north of Berlin, Germany.
I'm visiting my friend Siri who is an organizer with Popkollo - the youth rock camp in Sweden. Siri and I met earlier this year at a Girls Rock Camp Alliance conference. She visited me in Charleston over the summer and now I'm taking the journey across the Atlantic Ocean to visit her. So for the next 2 weeks, I'll be frolicking around unfamiliar territory.
The weather in Charleston has been consistently in the 60s and 70s (quite unusual for this time of year) so I'm looking forward to the cooler temperatures in Stockholm. Also, Sweden experiences shorter days (as in 5 hours of daylight) so I'm interested to find out what it's like when the sun sets around 2 in the afternoon. More than anything, I'm looking forward to learning more about Swedish culture, exploring the city by foot, and experiencing day-to-day life in Sweden.
I'll report back with updates and photographs throughout my trip.
Be back soon, Charleston!
