Fourth of July in NYC

Paige and I took a trip to NYC over Fourth of July weekend. Despite being a short trip, we were able to see/eat/do quite a few things. Ever since I returned from my backpacking trip, I've had even stronger urges to travel. Being able to get away for an extended weekend trip was just what I needed.

New York is one of my favorite cities to visit. I feel a little less overwhelmed each time I navigate around the jungle of streets and skyscrapers.

While in town, Paige and I managed to meet up with a few friends. I was thrilled to see my friends Lynn and Kate. Some other highlights from the trip include visiting the Museum of Modern Art, seeing the old Stonewall Inn, walking the High Line and bumming around Chelsea Market, shopping at some neat thrift/vintage shops, and seeing Strand Bookstore. We also ate dinner at The Meatball Shop one night (one of my favorite restaurants in NYC - especially the location on Bedford Avenue) and had ice cream at Big Gay Ice Cream TWICE (once at each location).

I am brainstorming potential next travel destinations. Any recommendations?
