Learning to Fail Well

Failure is inevitable. We all know what it feels like to be at the lowest of low points. Some of us happen to scrape the bottom more than once in our lives. The true test of handling failure well is our reaction once we reach the point of sheer vulnerability. The golden rule? Never be afraid to admit that you've made a mistake.

Time and time again, people attempt to cover up their mistakes. While blaming other people is easy, taking ownership over your mistakes is the more courageous alternative. As it turns out, we learn more on our way down than on our way up. No matter what, always learn from your mistakes. As the Dalai Llama once said, "When you lose, don't lose the lesson."
