During the initial planning stages of my backpacking trip, I did not include Switzerland. By shifting a few things around, I was able to add Zurich to the list. It was my last stop before heading back to Frankfurt (and the US).
Overall, Zurich was charming. I spent each day walking narrow streets and window shopping. The city itself is nestled along Lake Zurich. The museums have impressive collections of art and there is a church with stained glass windows designed by Marc Chagall.
While I enjoyed what I was able to see and do, my hosts made my experience in Zurich the best it could have been.
Below are some photographs from my time in Zurich.
